Elizabeth came to Channel 15 & 16 in October 2001 as the Programming Coordinator. After many years of studying the craft of television production and community service through media in April 2010 she was chosen to be the Executive Director of Northwest Access TV. She is enjoying the many new challenges this position holds and looks forward to increasing community awareness of the organization’s services. Elizabeth is a graduate of SUNY College at Fredonia with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Education and is currently continuing her education through the Vermont Business Center. In her spare time she enjoys designing costumes and playing any musical instrument she can get her hands on.

Kris is a Vermont native who grew up in Arlington, Vermont and studied Mass Media Communications at Castleton State College, and followed his time at CSC by earning a Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix.

Joining the Northwest Accesses Television Staff as the Programming Coordinator in 2011, Kris is always looking for new programming for NWA-TV that is interesting, entertaining and educational. Away from the studio Kris likes to stay active by taking part in numerous athletic activities, such as basketball, golf, or the occasional Tough Mudder, as well as just relaxing with a movie and a good cocktail… shaken not stirred.

Mike came to Channel 15 & 16 in 2003 as a volunteer, then a videographer, and then part-time Production Specialist in April 2009. He became full-time in December 2009. He has a 2003 BA in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and a 2007 MS in Computer Science from UVM. Mike is responsible for editing and putting together many of the shows that the station airs, as well as manning the camera or control board for some shows, both in the studio and the field. He also maintains the station’s computer equipment and tackles the occasional programming tasks that crop up. He has won several awards for fan-made music videos, and hopes to someday film a feature film.

Joanne started as a volunteer in 2001 and was hired part-time in 2003. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Graphics, Print & Photography from the College of St. Rose in Albany NY, and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas. She also works part-time for VT Interactive Television, and full-time for UVM’s Dana Medical Library.

Joanne’s professional duties include weekend oversite, shooting local and in-studio events, directing studio shows, event managing, and designing the on-air bulletin board announcements. She is committed to ensuring public access to information, and delights in finding new media combinations and partnerships to meet those needs.

At home she creatively copes with kids, critters, cooking and cleaning, construction, and crisis management.
